Galentine's Day Glam & the Miami City Ballet's ''To Miami with Love'' Series

Single, taken, or somewhere in between, Valentine's day is a time to show appreciation to those special to you. What better way to celebrate then gathering with your girls for a fun cultural event like ''To Miami with Love", a series of outdoor ballet performances put together by the Miami City Ballet.

Lengua Larga: Choreography by Harrison Monaco, featuring Adrienne Carter, Julia Cinquemani, Madison McDonough, Helen Ruiz

Surrounded by colorful graffiti style art, dancers gracefully glided along the concrete as elegantly as they would on any stage, captivating the audience. The Wynwood Walls, located in the heart of Wynwood was the location for the fourth show, adding a fun edgy flavor to the classic art of ballet. ''To Miami with Love'' has graced the presence of Miami audiences all month, at locations like the Vizcaya Museum and gardens in Coconut Grove, the Fairchild Tropical Botanical garden in Coral Gables, and the Miami Design District.

From Latin pieces like ''Lengua Largo'' featured above, to pieces like ''Tang'' (below) that featured a dynamic male duo, ''Miami with Love'' showcased diverse talent. The evening didn't stop there, we sauntered our way through the Wynwood Walls, enjoying the various art, taking it in and capturing those photographic moments.

One factor that adds that extra pop in Valentine's is the glam, centered around pretty pastels like pink and lilac, and of course classic red. My look, below, was girly to the max, with a culotte style lilac romper from Lucy in the Sky, paired with a satin blush blazer, blingy bronze lace up wedges, topped with fun colorful butterfly Claire's barrettes (You're never too old for butterfly barrettes right?)

While I originally ordered the romper thinking it was going to be light pink. the lilac and blush combo ended up a chic pastel power combo, exuding ballerina style energy. Noelle, shown below, exuded Valentine's swagger in her Pretty Little Thing wideleg pants, brown crop top, and gold chain. While Noelle went the girly meets edgy look, Karolyn, my other friend went girly meets tomboy with a bright pink bodycon mini and white sneakers, perfect for a day in Wynwood.

To compliment my ensemble, I added touches like teal eyeliner, rose gold and pink eye shadow, and a pink lip for that extra effect, as seen below.

Whether you are spending the Valentine's with your girls, spending it with bae, or stepping out solo, have fun exuding the theme of love with your look. Take the time to celebrate self love and have a Happy Valentine's Day!
